The Decision

Well, here we go.

After a great deal of prayer, thought, conversation and prayer, plus a lot of prayer, I have decided to accept the Call to become the Lead Pastor of Peace Lutheran Ministries in Saginaw, Michigan. I announced it to the people of Community Lutheran Church in Flat Rock, where I have served in my only call to this point, since 2011.

What a crazy thing, this call process. Since receiving the call the afternoon of Sunday, March 3rd, while I also happened to be at my buddy Sean’s installation at his new congregation (the McCoys are coming to Michigan, yay!), I have been both honored and humbled, while also feeling pulled in two different directions. It has taken a toll on me mentally, emotionally and physically, as well as on Heidi and to a lesser extent Ethan and Katy, who were a part of the decision-making process…
